While freelancing, I was hired by an independent record label and its sister labels to create dynamic and engaging videos from the static album cover artwork created by their in-house designer for every release. Given the high volume of these requests, I was given free rein to animate the artwork in any way I saw fit, within a limited time frame.
I saw this as a great opportunity to experiment and improve my motion graphics abilities. Each project presented a unique challenge, as I had to strike the balance between staying true to the album’s visual aesthetic and creating something that was visually compelling and engaging.
Working in this fast-paced environment helped me to hone my skills in motion graphics, and the experience was invaluable in terms of learning to work efficiently under pressure.
