The Association Of Photographers (AOP)

Brand Identity & Website Design

The Association of Photographers (AOP) is a non-profit organization that represents the best in professional photography. Since its inception, AOP has been at the forefront of promoting photography as an art form and protecting the rights of photographers and their images.

Recently, the AOP commissioned a project to develop a logo and symbol for a special award called ICON. This award is given annually to an AOP member for their achievements and contributions to the industry. Alongside the logo, a minimal website was to be created for the awards, which could showcase the photographers and include relevant articles.

The brief for the logo design was to create something that complemented the existing branding while moving forward with a more contemporary look and feel. The logo had to be responsive and easily integrated with various contexts.
My aim was to create a logo that represents the AOP well and remains recognizable even when manipulated or used in different contexts. A good logo should be versatile and able to adapt to different environments while still holding onto its core identity.

The result was a simple yet bold logo, which reflects the prestige of the ICON award and the AOP brand. The design is far from generic and is an excellent example of a logo that can be manipulated and used in varying contexts.
